Scholarships

Each year the counseling office receives notices of awards from a variety of sources. It's important to remember that it's never too early to apply for scholarships. Some scholarships are even open to freshmen and sophomores.

Scholarship listings are available in a variety of places as follows:

Naviance
Click on link to the left and log in with your username and password. If you do not know your username or password, please call your school counselor. See Contacts page for individual emails and phone extensions.

Click on the "College" Tab. Scroll down "Scholarships & Money" then click on "Scholarship List".

Bulletin Board in Guidance
Visit the bulletin board to view eligibility requirements and/or pick up a paper copy of the application materials.

Vermont Student Assistance Corporation (VSAC)
Each year, VSAC publishes a booklet of mainly local scholarship opportunities. Most are for seniors only and the deadline is always early March. Because local scholarships almost always have fewer applicants overall, it's definitely worth taking a look! Booklets are available in guidance or you can click on the VSAC link to the left for more information.

Vermont Grant
The state of Vermont offers students the opportunity to apply for need based grant funds that can be applied to most accredited colleges, even out-of-state schools.

The Vermont Grant, all VSAC administered scholarships and most need-based scholarships require completion of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Also, student who plan to take student loans must complete a FAFSA each year beginning their senior year in high school. Click on the link to the left to complete the FAFSA anytime after January 1 each year.
