Student Responsibility and Privilege Program

Student Responsibility and Privilege Program

The 2026-27 Junior and Senior Student Responsibility and Privilege Program (SRPP) paperwork is now available through the Parent/Student IC Portal. A parent/guardian must start the process from their Infinite Campus (IC) home page and then the student will log in and finish by also signing off on the agreement.

This optional program is to support students in grades 11 and 12, who want to leave campus during lunch and/or Block 5. Only students in good academic standing (minimum grade of 70% in all classes) may leave duríng Block 5 (2:08). Students who are “called back" to their teacher are expected to attend their Block 5 commitment.

Rationale:

  1. To provide students in grades 11 and 12 with access to a variety of off-campus learning opportunities. This could include internships, work experiences, student-created independent projects, dual-enrolled college courses, and Dartmouth classes.
  2. To provide students entering the adult world with an opportunity for decision-making.  These decisions must be made with the knowledge and agreement of the parent/guardian.

Eligibility:

  1. Parents / guardians MUST sign the form before this privilege can take effect.
  2. The privilege can be revoked by an administrator or a parent/guardian any time the student is found abusing the program or if, in the opinion of the student's team, it is in the student's educational best interest to do so.

 Responsibilities:

  1. If arriving after 8:25 AM, students MUST CHECK INTO the main office for attendance purposes.
  2. lf leaving school during the school day for a medical, dental, or emergency reason students MUST SIGN OUT at the main office.
  3. The school administration reserves the right to amend these privileges in keeping with the best interests of Hartford High School.
  4. Any student failing a class or who has received a discipline referral could have their privilege revoked.
  5. Students must attend Block 5 callback when requested by a teacher.  Block 5 is part of the school day; therefore, work or other commitments are not to be prioritized over school during this time.

Parents can give permission for their child to be able to leave during lunch only or during lunch and Block 5.

We would prefer that this paperwork gets signed through the IC portal. If you cannot access the portal, please email Rena Burnett.  If you cannot access the internet, please stop in the main office and pick up a paper form.
